Summary: Protective Factors and Processes – The Positive Perspective in Longitudinal Clinical Developmental Psychology and its Application in the Practice of Integrative Therapy
This text, elaborated and presented in 1991 and published in 1993, is the first application of the concepts „protective factors and processes“ and „resilience factors and processes“ in European Psychotherapy establishing a new paradigm: „a developmental psychotherapy in the life span“ as it has been inaugurated by Hilarion Petzold with Integrative Therapy since the end of the 1960ths. By this approach psychotherapy is taking a completely new direction: Empirical longitudinal developmental psychology and clinical psychotherapy resp. humane therapy are connected in a consistent way. Results of research, theory, methodology and examples from practice are illustrating this approach.

Keywords: Integrative Therapy, Resilience, Clinical Developmental Psychotherapy, Protective Factors, child psychotherapy
