Summary:
From the point of view of „clinical philosophy“ and „Integrative Therapy“ the article presents the con-cept of „polylogue“ as developped by the author: a multivoiced, multidirected speech (Bakhtin) within and between human beeings. Polylogue aims to overcome dyadical oriented „dialogics“ (e.g. Buber), as it is specific for psychotherapy – the dyadics in Freud, Jung, Perls, Rogers etc. – reaching for a „Thou, I, We in context and continuum“ (this is the anthropological formula of „Integrative Therapy“), for social networks, convoys, for social worlds of thinking, feeling, volition, acting instead of only dyadic therapeutic relationships.

The model of polylogue is grounded in evolutionary reasoning: language emerged with the early hominids when sitting interacting „in a cirlce“ arround the fire. It is derived from views in neurosciences: polylogical corresponding fostered the development of mirror neurons and along with this the emergence of imitation and empathy. Linguistic reasoning affirms: Polylogues led to the development of „interlocutions“, multiple speech acts. From there the idea of a „polylogue of sciences“ engaged in interdiciplinary and transdisciplinary discour-se is developed which can booster the progress of knowledge. Polylogue is seen as the basis of a truely interdiciplinarily oríented psychotherapy. It seems inevitable for a parrhesiastic, i. e. truethful discourse (Foucault) of the psychotherapeutic orientations, and a practice of psychotherapy focusing on „patient dignity“ with respect for his „otherness“ (Levinas) can only be reached and maintained by an open and appreaciating polylogics.
