Man macht z.B.

Summary: ,, Acting Proactively“ in view of old age „across the lifespan“. A shift of paradigm in therapy and field-competent supervision from orientation on the past towards future orientation  becomes indispensable  (Petzold, Müller 2005b)
This text is emphasizing  the structurally  prospective and proactive quality of supervision, counseling, coaching, therapy. E. g. one is doing  therapy today, to get better tomorow, takes some coaching now in order to make adequate decisions nex week. The human brain is tuned on anticipatoric activity anyway (What shall I eat tomorrow or coming winter?) Only this way made us survive in evolution. The nonsene of a rigid „Here-and-Now-Ideology“ in most of the many humanistic approaches to therapy is becoming clear with these perspectives and the need of an integrative theory of time comprising past, present, and future  in a multiperspectivic  way  (Petzold 1991o/2018) is evident.  In our time in which the pensions are no more sure, the ecology is in danger  and the problem of world hunger is not yet mastered,  anticipatoric competence is indispensabe in all areas of life, particularly in view of ones own age and the ageing processes of everybody. We have to plan and proactively act on the individual and the collective plane. This is what we have to do and what in therapy, counseling, coaching etc. has actively to  be attacked. A shift of paradigm is announced. This is why this brief but weighty text is posted anew.

Keywords: Future Orientation, anticipatory competence, acting proactively, prospective supervision and therapy, Integrative Therapy
