Potentialentfaltung in der Integrativen Therapie
Paula Michaela Roth, Schweiz

Summary: Unfolding Potential in Integrative Therapy
In Integrative Therapy, the unfolding of potential is understood as a central developmental process that contributes to meaning-making, self-realization, and salutogenesis across the lifespan. This paper approaches the concept through the Tree of Science model to illuminate the interrelations between theory and practice across metatheoretical, real-explanatory, and praxeological levels. Biographical work, Petzold’s five pillars of identity, potential-oriented cultural work, and the commitment to personal dignity and integrity constitute essential dimensions in this framework. However, potential development is not conceived as an isolated process, but as one that unfolds meaningfully within collective, identity- and potential-sustaining contexts – particularly within projects of collective identity and cultural work that provide socially embedded spaces of resonance for self-assurance and the construction of meaning.
