Die Konstitution einer stabilen Identität scheint in den heutigen modernen Gesellschaften zunehmend mit großen Herausforderungen verbunden zu sein. Der vorliegende Beitrag behandelt die Frage, was poesie- und bibliotherapeutische Praxis in diesem Kontext leisten kann. Paul Ricoeurs Konzept der narrativen Identität kommt dabei besondere Bedeutung bei, da er die narrativen Funktionen bei der Identitätskonstruktion extrapoliert und die Poesie- und Bibliotherapie die Aktivierung und Stimulierung narrativer Tätigkeit als zentralen Fokus ihrer Arbeit bestimmt, sodass sich hier fruchtbare Schnittstellen aufzeigen lassen.

Summary: „Narrative identity“ related to integrative concepts and poetry- and bibliotherapy practice
In today’s society the constitution of a stable identity seems to be increasingly related with big challenges. The following article analyses how and to what extent poetry- and bibliotherapy practice can contribute to its creation.  Paul Ricoeur’s concept of the narrative identity plays a particular important role in this sense: he extrapolates the narrative functions in the process of defining identity whereas the main objective of poetry- and bibliotherapy is activating and stimulating all the narrative actions thus revealing creative compounds.
