Zusammenfassung: Zweifel II – Impulse zum Thema Zweifel und Zweifeln
In einem Impulsreferat zum Thema „Zweifel“ werden wichtige Konnotationen zum Begriff und kulturgeschichtliche Dimensionen des Verständnisses von Zweifeln unter philosophischer, psychologischer und evolutionstheoretischer Perspektive vorgestellt. Die positive Kraft und überlebenssichernde Funktion von Zweifel wird betont, einer vereinseitigenden Negativierung von Zweifeln wird entgegen getreten. Der Wert konstruktiven Selbstzweifels für die persönliche Selbstgestaltung und für die therapeutische Arbeit wird genauso herausgestellt, wie seine Aufgabe, in Zeiten fundamentalistischer Ideologien und menschenverursachter ökologischer Katastrophen uns als menschliche Kollektive in richtige Richtungen zu orientieren: zu humanitärer und ökosophischer Lebenspraxis im Sinne eines „erweiterten ökologischen Imperativs“, der durch eine Kultur kritischen Zweifelns begleitet und kontrolliert werden muss.

Summary: Doubts II – Impulses to the topic Doubt and Doubting
In an impulse lecture concerning the topic “doubts” important connotations of the notion and of dimensions from cultural history for an understanding of doubting resp. having one’s doubts are presented using perspectives from philosophy, psychology evolutionary theory. The positive power and survival assuring function of doubts is emphasized and a one sided negative view is opposed. The value of constructive self-doubt for personal self actualization and for therapeutic processes is underlined. But also doubt’s task to give us in times of fundamenalistic ideologies and destructive man made ecological disaster the right orientation, personally and as human collectives, is emphasized: aiming at an humanitarian and ecosophic lifestyle in the line of an “expanded ecological imperative” which has to be accompanied and controlled by a culture of critical doubts.
