This text gives a condensed presentation of concepts concerning theories on Europe as characteristic for the work of the European Academy. Polylogic discourses, transversality, interculturality have to become relevant in all domains of society in order to develop a European Identity. This is requiring joint processes of memalization and collective will decisions as well as the readiness to appreciate the otherness and even Strangeness of the others.
